Osteopathy and posture

Telephone, texting, WhatsApp, and today add teleworking, zoom conferences, and even zoom activities!

Keeping your head straight becomes a real mission (impossible?)

Prolonged bent head positions should be avoided. In fact, carrying your head forward alone can cause neck pain and severe stiffness in the neck, trapezius and shoulders. In addition, a too advanced neck puts pressure on the abdomen and the abdominal muscles relax (the stomach comes out).

The more forward your head is, the more the load is passed on to the lower back. Low back pain could therefore be explained by a prolonged flexion position of the head.

Impossible mission ? Let's take up the challenge together !

Since it is not always easy to limit our phone or computer time, our body must be allowed to adapt to our lifestyle. Rafaele Hana, Osteopath D.O in Jerusalem gives you 6 practical tips to put an end to the "coiled posture"

The 6 tips from your Osteopath :

1. At work, in the car, in front of the TV or the computer sit with your back straight, your computer / phone screen in front of your eyes ;

2. Limit screen time;

3. Avoid crossing your legs so as not to block blood circulation;

4. Stretch ;

5. Strengthen the back muscles ;

6. Consult your osteopath.

Osteopathy makes it possible to act on the postural balance of the body and to harmonize it.

Indeed, your osteopath will unblock areas with restricted mobility that have accumulated as a result of this bad posture. Thus, migraines, Arnold’s neuralgia, back pain, flabby stomach, digestive disorders, etc. can be avoided.

We are not made to sit all the time, and this position affects the structure of our body over and over.
